Hi! I don’t know if you ever heard about Ipsy, but if you haven’t Oh my goodness you are missing out!! Ipsy is a company that allows you to sign up and you pay a really great price so that you receive samples of products to try out. They also have great contests, sales, and tutorials on certain looks. Once you receive your Ipsy, you are asked to review your products to gain more points. I would like to talk about July’s Glam Bag, what was in it, and what I thought about the products. Ipsy’s July Glam Bag included anti-frizz wipes, primer, eye liner, mascara, and setting powder. Here is a picture of everything that was included in my Ipsy July Glam Bag:
Too Faced Face Primer
Ok, first, I think I will never have anything bad to say about Too Faced. I have tried a couple products and loved them. Their eye shadows are amazing. This primer is called Too Faced Hangover and it is supposed to refresh your face the following day of partying. Now, I’m a mother, with two babies, I don’t get to go out and celebrate anymore, although, this can still be considered, because I mean, let’s face it, we don’t only go one night of not sleeping, we go about twenty years… Therefore, this is a product for everyone. Even if you don’t wear makeup, this primer can help refresh and protect your face against environmental factors. It has a slight smell, a little sweet. I like it, it does not bother me at all. But I do find it dries a bit quickly so you might need to apply a bit more. I’m used to a product that spreads more and has a silky feeling, this one doesn’t but is fantastic. If you are a Too Faced fan, then you’ll most likely love this primer as well.
Too Write Eye Liner – Colour Scott
I’m going to say, I am extremely fussy with eye liners and that is why I often opt for liquid eye liners only because of how it applies. I like the look of this eye liner, it’s thin and you don’t need to sharpen it. Unfortunately, applying it is a little more difficult. Now, I have had other eye liners were I was going crazy and it just wasn’t applying, but it’s been a long time since I had those. This eye liner, I still have to pull on my eye, and put pressure applying it. It did not glide on and I even broke the tip trying to apply it. I also found it did not apply smoothly, I had chunks of the eye liner. So would I buy this product? Probably not! BUT, as I said, I am very picky.
Model Co Power Lash Mascara
Gorgeous mascara. I love how it applies, it really fills out your lashes and does give a nice amount of volume. The want is also very nice. I have nothing bad to say about this product at all. I was really impressed.
Banana Setting Powder
If I remember right, Ipsy asked for my skin tone, so I did receive a light colour. This is a setting powder, so you apply it after your foundation to hold it. I have never used a setting powder before and I love how it gives a bit more coverage for a more flawless finish. It is a very light powder, not heavy at all. You do not need a lot either, so the sample will last you a little while.
Ipsy Glam Bag and Nunzio Saviano Anti-Frizz Sheets
The Ipsy Glam Bag is a cute, small makeup bag. Perfect for a few things. Unfortunately, I am a full out makeup fanatic so it would never fit everything. lol But I think it’s a really cute bag. As for the Anti-Frizz sheets, I did not try these yet, I kind of want to save them for when I really need some. And if these work, holey moley, watch out! But in all seriousness, is this not a fantastic idea?? I mean, small packages to take on the go and if your hair is too frizzy, you just open a package and use up a sheet? I’m pretty excited for these since I have never heard of them. I’m going out of town next week and will have plenty of time for frizz in the humidity expected. These will definitely be in my suitcase.
So in all, I love my Ipsy Glam Bag for July, and was excited to receive one for the first time. Now I think I’m addicted. I think it’s 9.95$ ca to sign up and 5$ shipping. For the price you pay and the products you receive, I think it’s well worth it. I don’t know the price US, but I think it’s close. I know the US has a bunch of companies, I am a little envious for that, but I am happy with Ipsy. And to complete, here is me wearing all the products (again, except the anti-frizz sheets)
Did you sign up for Ipsy? What are your thoughts? 🙂 And how long have you been with them?
