Ok, so who here absolutely loves Halloween? Like, probably their favourite season? I won’t lie… it’s not mine! haha sorry, BUT, I do love seeing the costumes, and scary decorations, and horror movies, ohhh the horror movies are my favourite times. But this year, I decided, let’s get out of our comfort zone, and let’s attempt some Halloween looks. As I have said numerous times, I am NOT a makeup artist, I am a self-taught makeup applier. I have learned a lot, and I love what I do. I find we have products that are easy to use, highly pigmented, and just, well, the styles and colours, I absolutely love. So while doing this, I want to share my looks here, and the products I have used. You can definitely use what products you have, my videos are not reserved to my products, they are only used, but you can definitely do the same with your makeup. 🙂
Halloween looks 1: Female Scarecrow
Ok, so as beautiful as this model is, I did not end up making a cute scarecrow, I’m more the one you want in the field, doing what they were built to do. But it turned out pretty cool still, just not the same effect.
Products used:
Eyes, nose, cheeks – Fanatical
Dark liner – Perfect (both pencil and dip and draw liner)
Halloween looks 2: Broken Doll
This one was kind of fun, I am happy with how it turned out, especially for a first attempt. It is a fun, and simple look that can be done by everyone. Just search up on Pinterest for a picture that interests you, and copy it!
Products used:
Eyes – Addiction Palette 5, colour Victorious
Lips – Skittish lip stain as the base, Pristine liner in the middle, ritzy lipstick on top
Broken shell – Eyeliner in Perfect, eyeliner in pristine, Addiction palette Forthright for shadow
Blush – Serene
Halloween Look 3: Day of the Dead
For my look, I basically used 2, no 4 colours (that leaf took two)
It takes a lot of time, but one that can be done. The pale face? I used our Concealer, Liquid foundation and pressed powder in Scarlet, our lightest colour.
For the rest of the products
Black – Addiction Palette 3 in Irate, Precision eyeliner in Perfect
Red – Splash liquid lipstick in Sizzling
Green – Splurge in Assertive and Charming
And of course, as soon as I did my makeup, my three year old daughter wanted the same thing. I didn’t go into detail like I did with mine, she didn’t need the foundation for the effect, we can make it more basic for children. But you know, it makes for a fantastic idea as well. Two colours;
Black – Precision Eyeliner in perfect and Addiction Palette 3 in Irate
Pink – Addiction Palette 5 in Sarcasic
Halloween Look 2018
I’m back with more ideas, a little more practice, and had some fun.
To add a bit of blue tint to my face (My actual foundation), I added some of our Splurge Cream Shadow in the colour Fickle to my foundation in Scarlett. You can see my live here. If you do go check it out, let me know you came from my page please! 🙂
Okay, so honestly, this one wasn’t my favourite out of the ones I did this year, I don’t find I fully succeeded, but I tried! And only with practice do we get better right? Of course I look at ridiculously good looking models and try to do the same idea… it never looks the same lol. But I’m proud of the mouth part. I did a quick video on my Facebook page which you can see it here. Again, leave me a comment saying you came from my blog!
This one I actually really like! haha okay, it’s still not professional, it’s not my point, it’s all about having fun and trying new things. I think I pretty much nailed this one for my first one this year. Unfortunately, I have no videos to this one 🙁
